Young Makers Festival shows path from student to entrepreneur

The first Young Makers Festival  gets underway in the Factory Hammerbrooklyn from 10 am to 7 pm on June 27, 2025. Students will gain insight into tomorrow's professions, how schools can prepare pupils for them and how an idea can evolve into a business. The festival targets pupils from Year 7 (13 years) onwards and provides initial points of contact on setting up a business.

Practising early

"Encouraging entrepreneurial thinking requires you to start early," said Rolf Strittmatter, Managing Director of Hamburg Invest. The Young Makers Festival provides a framework in which young people can develop and realise their own ideas in a practical manner backed by  strong partners and without the usual obstacles. Thus, they learn that business is creative and socially relevant, not abstract."
