Trade Fair

EXPO REAL is the most important trade fair for the real estate industry and therefore offers a fully comprehensive overview of developments, topics, innovations and solutions in the real estate industry. In this way, it provides the necessary orientation in a time of upheaval.

Stand

With over 600 m² of space and more than 50 partners, the Hamburg-Stand is one of the largest stands at the trade fair. For more than 25 years, it has offered companies and institutions the opportunity to present themselves under Hamburg's strong umbrella.

Dear Readers,

Hamburg is a dynamic city. It is constantly evolving, characterised by change and new perspectives. The associated challenges constantly demand solutions from those responsible in politics and business. Above all, I see new scope for action: creating living space, steering urban development sustainably and improving people's quality of life.

The property industry plays a key role in this. Together with you, we want to develop living and working spaces that meet the needs of a modern urban society: future-orientated and versatile.

In the area of conflict between feasibility, economic efficiency and people's needs, it is our responsibility to keep a careful eye on construction costs and processes.

The Hamburg Standard is currently one of the focal points of our work. The focus here is on good, affordable housing - faster and cheaper than before. We want to remove hurdles and speed up procedures so that new housing can be created quickly from good concepts. The Hamburg Standard is currently in the implementation phase - with 13 pilot projects in all Hamburg districts and a pilot neighbourhood in the south of Hamburg with around 1,200 new flats. The flexible construction kit is deliberately designed as a work in progress - new ideas are constantly being incorporated and all stakeholders are invited to get involved.

EXPO REAL offers us the opportunity to present these and other important topics in a national and international environment, to forge new partnerships and deepen established co-operations. Hamburg has the best prerequisites for this: a strong location with a high quality of life, excellent infrastructure and a clear agenda for the future.

I cordially invite you to join our Minister of Finance, Dr Andreas Dressel, and me for a discussion, to exchange ideas and to actively help shape Hamburg's path to becoming a sustainable, liveable metropolis. Together with you, we would like to set impulses that will radiate far beyond the Hanseatic city.
