"We are proud that the '3D Projektplaner' has been honoured as an excellent example of innovative urban planning and digital transformation. This award recognises the City of Hamburg's commitment and expertise in the development of modern technologies and underlines their importance for sustainable and transparent urban development," said Metz. Urban development ideas can be sketched as a digital model with the 3D planner.
The interaction of construction projects with the urban environment can also be better assessed by overlaying geodata such as noise maps or monument mapping. The 3D project planner is based on the open source tool, Masterportal, which is now used jointly by 46 cities, municipalities and public administrations worldwide.
