Hamburg Cruise Days celebrates tenth anniversary from September 12-14, 2025 - Seatrade Europe expecting delegates from over 90 countries

The 10th Hamburg Cruise Days will get underway from September 12-14, 2025 when several cruise ships are expected in the Port of Hamburg. Highlights include the Cruise Days Parade on Saturday when several illuminated ships will sail down the Elbe to music and fireworks. Various onshore events featuring an array of delicacies are also in the pipeline. The Seatrade Europe trade fair, which will open its doors to the public for the first time this year, will run alongside the Cruise Days from September 10, 2025.

Many companies and destinations will also be presented during the leading trade fair for the European cruise industry. More than 250 exhibitors and over 3,500 delegates from over 90 countries are expected in Hamburg’s exhibition halls, according to the Hamburg Cruise Net e.V.  A three-day conference to be held under the theme of "Future Forward“ will highlight all the latest technological and infrastructural trends. The new “Destination Discovery Friday“ event will give up to 500 end customers an opportunity to attend the trade fair for the first time on September 12.

Blue Port Hamburg

The cruise festival will be accompanied by the 10th Blue Port light art project. Michael Batz, a Hamburg-based light artist, will light up the port and numerous buildings, bridges and ships along the Elbe in blue light from September 10-28. The launch of Blue Port coincides with the 140th anniversary of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA).

Cruise industry at record level

More than 250,000 people visited the last Cruise Days in 2023, when a record 1.2 million passengers embarked in Hamburg. The event highlights the importance of the thriving cruise industry for the city.
