Students, who were sureyed about the conditions at their respective univserity, gave a striking number of technical degree courses surveyed top marks for teaching and research. Hamburg University of Technology was particularly praised for its civil engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, materials engineering and mechatronics courses, particularly in terms of support at the start of the degree. The range of courses and the IT infrastructure were also highly rated.
HafenCity University's Architecture and Civil Engineering courses topped the rankings for the support provided at the beginning of the course, the library, and the organisation of the courses.
Helmut Schmidt University fared particularly well in terms of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering courses, as well as Educational Science and Psychology courses. Graduating within a reasonable timeframe and the organisation of the degree courses stood out, as did the introduction to academic work in some cases.
