Olympics to benefit everyone

Hamburg's concept
Apart from Hamburg, Munich, Berlin and Rhine/Ruhr are also vying to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Hamburg+ concept foresees the use of existing and temporary venues as well as short, fast routes. The Olympic Village in Science City Bahrenfeld should link up science and sport. A modern, multifunctional stadium for 60,000 spectators is also being considered. "The games should benefit as many people as possible - far beyond the events themselves. That means improved access, sports and exercise, especially for our children and young people," said Steffen Rülke, Head of Hamburg's bid for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
