Award for entire Hamburg science centre

"The award is an honour for us as a centre of science. During the last ten years, we have turned Hamburg into a true beacon of science through strategic prioritisation, targeted cooperation and investment," Fegebank noted.  The city has created the forward-looking Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld and Hamburg is now one of eleven centres of excellence with diverse universities and outstanding non-universities. "Top-class scientists are working on the pressing issues of our time and innovations of the future – from particle accelerators, AI media research, climate research, data science, sustainable transport to quantum computing and medicine,” she stressed.
