Search now on for novel business ideas from Hamburg Metropolitan Region

Applications for the Lünale Business Awards, organised by Wirtschaftsförderungs-GmbH für Stadt und Landkreis Lüneburg (WLG), are being accepted until the deadline of July 31, 2025. Startups, young companies, tradespeople and SMEs across the Hamburg Metropolitan Region are invited to enter their novel business ideas and achievements in four categories. 

Lünale important for regional economy

"The Lünale is an important national platform for highlighting the courage and innovative strength of our regional economy," said Mario Leupold, Managing Director of WLG. Entries can be submitted in one of four categories. Prize money of €3,000 is available for the Lüneburg Startup Award Impuls, as well as for the Leuphana Startup Idea of the Year. The Craftsmanship Award will be presented under the motto "Artificial Intelligence in Crafts", along with the Lüneburg SME Award. The awards will be presented on November 14, 2025 in the Leuphana University of Lüneburg.
