100 jobs to be created in Schwerin
Schwerin: Construction of a €30 million factory is now underway in the capital of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. The first superstructures for trucks and vans are to be produced in the Göhrener Tannen industrial park in 2027. The factory is among state-of-the art production plants for commercial vehicle bodies in Europe. Junge Fahrzeugbau also produces in Barsbüttel and Stralendorf in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. Segeberg eyeing economic boost from A20 and Fehmarn Belt
Bad Segeberg: Demand for commercial space is growing in the Segeberg region, according to a study by the Regional Development Agency. The north of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region needs 20 to 25 per cent more commercial space than assumed and the number of jobs could increase by around 12 per cent by 2040. The Fehmarn Belt link and the ongoing build of the A20 motorway, which has received backing from the national German government, are considered economic catalysts. Bad Bramstedt, Bad Segeberg, Henstedt-Ulzburg, Kaltenkirchen, and Norderstedt are among the bigger cities in the region.
