"Apprentice of the North" honours young talents

14 June 2024
Companies from northern Germany, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia have until 1 September 2024 to submit their best graduates for the training award

Successful trainees as role models for career starters - with the "Trainee of the North" 2024 training award, the AGA Unternehmensverband and INW Campus are once again honouring young professionals who have achieved good and very good grades during their training period and shown exceptional commitment. The prize is awarded in the categories of wholesale, foreign trade, retail, e-commerce and services. The five winners will each receive prize money totalling 1,000 euros. Applications can be submitted until 1 September 2024.

Dual training as a model for success

"We want to make it clear that dual vocational training is a successful model. It offers young people an excellent opportunity to develop their talents and enter the world of work in a practical way," explains AGA Managing Director Volker Tschirch. In view of the massive shortage of labour and skilled workers, companies need this young talent more urgently than ever. Companies from northern Germany, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia now have the chance to nominate successful graduates for the "Trainee of the North" 2024.

Sponsorship award endowed with 1,500 euros

In addition, the Senator Ing. Albert Brickwedde Foundation will award a prize of 1,500 euros to young people who have mastered special challenges during their training or who have shown social commitment. There is also an audience award worth 500 euros. The public can vote for their favourite via live voting during the award ceremony on 17 October 2024 in Hamburg.
