Scaleup Hamburg puts the selected growth-seeking companies in contact with companies based in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region in two phases. By this summer, the participating scaleups' products will be analysed for the German market and their marketing strategy adapted. Subsequently, individual matchmaking will lead to targeted co-operation and pilot projects and the new technologies will then be implemented in Hamburg.
Established and successful scaleups now have until the deadline of February 23, 2025 to apply for the Soft Landing scheme beginning in April 2025. On behalf of the Ministry of Economics and Innovation, Scaleup Hamburg, a service of Hamburg Invest, is seeking five international companies that wish to grow and establish themselves in Hamburg's ecosystem. Companies with sustainable technology solutions are eligible to apply. The Soft Landing scheme helps each scale-up launch successfully on the German market from Hamburg.

Scaleup Hamburg set up the Soft Landing Pad in 2022 on behalf of the Ministry of Economics and Innovation and has since launched 24 pilot projects between scaleups and institutions in Hamburg, with more to come. Scaleup Hamburg now wants to set up another service to ease co-operation between SMEs and startups and scaleups. The aim is to launch demand-driven pilot projects and create a so-called "venture-clienting partnership". Scaleup Hamburg's expanded services underline Hamburg's commitment to strengthening all sectors of the local ecosystem.
