Three companies represented each of the four cities in the finals. The Hamburg-based Finstep, Intuitive.ai and the overall winner, Participayed, had pitched to a jury of experts. The Berlin-based B2B financial services provider, Tilta, the Cologne-based pension fintech Xaver and Sub Capitals, a service provider of AI-based investments in Munich, emerged as regional winners. Now, all four start-ups have qualified for the international Slush start-up contest to be held in Helsinki from November 20-21, 2024. Participayed also won the regional prize presented by the Hamburger Sparkasse as well as an invitation to the Hamburg Founder’s Prize gala.
The Hamburg-based fintech, Participayed, has won the Startup-Champs 2024 to become the “payment software developer” at the Fintech Festival in Berlin (April 24-25). The competition is the result of closer co-operation between Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich to boost the start-up scene, which was agreed in 2020. The collaboration has since reached a new level as part of an agreement in 2023.
