Events in Schwerin

A mile-long boulevard or "Ländermeile" in Schwerin will showcase unique aspects of each state in the Federal Republic of Germany including its people, landscapes, culture, science, politics, cuisine and music. Visitors are invited to tour Germany. Live entertainment will also be on offer. An overview of the events can be found on https://tag-der-deutschen-einheit.de/?lang=en including a forum about the future in the courtyard of Schwerin Castle, a light show and ZDF TV’s garden.

Virtual tour of Hamburg Metropolitan Region

Visitors can also go on a 3D tour of the diverse Hamburg Metropolitan Region by virtually hopping on a tandem bike, donning a VR headset and going along the Elbe River, through the Alte Land region and to the Baltic coast. Photos can be taken at a digital photo box and emailed to you. A touch table reveals all kinds of interesting facts about the 5.4 million inhabitants of the metropolitan region including its characteristics as an innovative, networked hub and why so many people live, work, research and invest here. The exhibition "Grown. Divided. United. Border History(ies)" about the former inner-German border region will open from September 28 to October 7.
