"If you want to understand the USA, you can't get past Rieke Havertz and Klaus Brinkbäumer," says Nina Klaß, head of nextMedia.Hamburg. The podcast by the US correspondent and media entrepreneur, which is published by "Die Zeit", analyses US politics from a German perspective. Both qualitatively and economically, the podcast is a prime example of successful journalism. The podcast's archived episodes, for instance, have recently been switched to a paid model. The expertise and personality of the podcast hosts also help to build a loyal listener base. "This connection makes the podcast an exciting format with a role model character - for media, brands and the audience alike," says Klaß.
