From Baden-Baden to Hamburg
Strengthening film and media centre
The move is a "clear indication of Hamburg's importance on the German film and media map," said Helge Albers, Managing Director of Moin Filmförderung. This view was echoed by Dr Carsten Brosda, Senator for Culture and Media, who added: "This is an honour for Hamburg as a film and media centre and we owe it not least to the excellent framework conditions that Hamburg can offer in the completely renovated CCH."
Three cinema conventions in Hamburg
The cinema congress marks the third major film industry event to move to Hamburg. The European Work in Progress and the International Film Distribution Summit will be held in Hamburg close to the Hamburg Film Festival (September 25-October 4, 2025).
