The six are Tiny Roar with its sci-fi adventure game "XEL", the real-time strategy game "Heart of Muriet" by Cratr.games, Beardshaker Games with a new interpretation of the Solitaire ("Soulitaire") card game, and the action role-playing game "Project Morph" by Threaks. Octofox Games will also present "Wild Woods" and One Man on Mars ("Leif's Adventure: Netherworld Hero"), each with a multiplayer game. The Indie Arena Booth offers these small developers a wealth of opportunities to make contacts with publishers, potential partners, media and influencers, and to possibly seal a deal and attract many new potential cash-paying players. The idea for the booth originated with the Hamburg-based Super Crowd Entertainment agency, who launched a digital version when the pandemic broke out in 2020 and attracted several million visitors from 180 countries. This year's indie games will be presented on site and digitally as well.
Gamescom is going live from August 24-28, 2022 in Cologne. More than 550 exhibitors from over 27 countries are expected to present their novelties. And Hamburg is sending several movers and shakers including Inno Games and Goodgame Studios to the leading industry meet. Gamecity Hamburg will also be bringing six independent developers along as part of its "Road to Gamecom" scheme to present their companies at the joint Indie Arena Booth.

High-profile companies at B2B trade fair
Several established Hamburg-based firms will also be attending Gamescom. The gaming internet broadcaster Rocket Beans TV will broadcast live from its booth. Germany's second largest games employer, Inno Games, as well as Goodgame Studios, Deep Silver Fishlabs, Tivola Games, Bytro Labs and Daedalic Entertainment can be found in the B2B area, which is for trade visitors only. Dennis Schoubye, Head of Gamecity Hamburg, pointed out: "Hamburg is a hotspot of games development in Europe with over 180 studios, publishers and games companies. The industry employs 2,500 people in Hamburg and is on a growth trajectory."
