"As part of our 'Road to' scheme, we are bringing independent games studios to key events and preparing them to meet publishers, forge contacts and to present their games to consumers," said Dennis Schoubye, Head of Gamecity Hamburg. Five Hamburg-based start-ups will present their latest games at Gamecity Hamburg's joint booth in Cologne. The highlights are the multiplayer party game “Stack ‘Em Up” by Godcomplex Games, the first-person adventure game “Journey Beyond the Edge of the World” by Markus Koepke, the exploration game “Map Map – A Game About Maps by Pipapo Games, the 2D action role-playing game "Under the Island" by Slime King Games and the music construction kit game "Oddada" by Sven Ahlgrimm and Mathilde Hoffmann.
Three projects have already received prototype funding or taken part in the Games Lift Incubator. Gamecity Hamburg provides up to EUR 80, 000 per project to develop games prototypes.
