Wizz Air to operate direct flight to Armenian capital three times a week

Hungary's Wizz Air will operate a direct flight from Hamburg Airport to the Armenian capital of Yerevan three times a week beginning in October. The new offer will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

More direct flights

The addition of Yerevan brings the number of Wizz Air's direct destinations from Hamburg to ten. New flights  to Kutaisi in Georgia and Sibiu in Romania were recently added. Wizz Air also flies direct to Gdansk, Bucharest, Sofia, Tirana and other destinations.

Economic centre

Dirk Behrens, Head of Aviation at Hamburg Airport, said: "This new direct flight to Yerevan enables us to introduce our passengers to  another fascinating country via the network from Hamburg Airport." Yerevan is one of the world's oldest cities and a cultural and economic centre in the Caucasus. Armenia would like to promote its high-tech sector in particular in future.
