A jury will select the three most promising projects for the Smart City Award, which honours "the best and most sustainable smart city projects and initiatives" in Germany. During a follow-up event, those behind the ideas will have an opportunity to pitch their projects to an audience. The winners get an opportunity to attend a design thinking workshop and will be featured on SmartCity-Kompass.de.
