The fair will feature all kinds of presentations and congresses including the International Foodservice Forum and the Industry Day for Communal Catering. Several contests such as the Internorga Future Award, German Gastro Founder Award and the "Next Chef Award" for young chefs will also be held. Emphasis this year is on energy efficiency, saving resources, hygiene and safety. The exhibition area will highlight smart kitchen solutions with networked appliances to make work easier. Appliances with integrated, optimised heat recovery systems and water-saving technologies will demonstrate how caterers can improve their carbon footprint and operate more sustainably. The AI Center will highlight AI startups and their novel applications for the catering and hotel industry and how AI can revolutionise the out-of-home market.
State-of-the art kitchens and products, trends and innovations for the out-of-home market will take centre stage during this year's Internorga, the leading trade fair for the hotel, catering, bakery and confectionery industries, from March 14-18 in Hamburg.

Artificial Intelligence for catering and hotel sector
"This year, our AI Center at Internorga will show how AI is fundamentally changing our economy as well as the catering and hotel industry,” said Petra Vorsteher founder of AI.Group/AI.Hamburg. Startups will present smart technologies and show how businesses can become more innovative, cost-effective and more efficient by using AI for personnel, merchandise management and sustainability. In addition to the “Digital Applications” exhibition area, Internorga, and the AI.Group/AI.Hamburg network, has created a platform for AI start-ups showcasing automatic temperature controls and AI forecasts for ordering and production as well as interactive menus.
Hamburg now key food centre
The "What The Food?" by foodlab section focuses on the startup scene and all the latest food trends, novel concepts, new work and sustainability. A talk with Sascha Taube, Managing Director of Food Cluster Hamburg, will focus on the local food scene and the cluster's development. Founded in September 2024, backed by Foodactive, the cluster networks all the local stakeholders to raise Hamburg's visibility as a food centre. It represents the interests of well over 140 members in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. The City of Hamburg will also host the Open Mouth Food Festival this year, while the Food Innovation Camp (FIC) will kick off on June 23, 2025. Then, movers and shakers in retail, hospitality, catering, investment and politics will meet food startups in Hamburg's Camber of Commerce.
