Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) has received the "Sustainable Impact Award" (SIA) for its "Balanced Logistics" strategy, a press release said Friday (September 23, 2022). Oliver Dux, Managing Director of the Container Terminal Altenwerder, and Jan Hendrik Pietsch, Head of Sustainability at HHLA, accepted the prize, awarded by Wirtschaftswoche and Generali Versicherung in the "Impact on Earth" category in Berlin.

The "Sustainable Impact Award" is presented to medium-sized companies with outstanding corporate sustainability strategies. The award boosts sustainable business models and social responsibility in German SMEs. More than 70 companies applied for the prize this year. HHLA prevailed over the chemical company Fabrik W. Neudorff and the Richard Neumayer Gesellschaft für Umformtechnik.
