Hamburg to host Marine Interiors for shipping

28 July 2023
Focus on cruise ships and ferries at fair from September 6-8

The Marine Interiors Cruise & Ferry Global Expo gets underway in Hamburg's exhibition halls from September 6 to 8, 2023 showcasing elegant wood panelling, soft carpeting, sound-insulating windows and doors. Architects, ship designers and suppliers can learn all about the latest design trends in the industry. The focus will also be on special safety regulations on cruise ships in addition to customer needs and sustainability.

Special sessions for newcomers

"The Marine Interiors Cruise & Ferry Global Expo offers established players and newcomers alike many interesting incentives in the marine interiors sector," said Christoph Lücke, Project Manager of Marine Interiors Expo at Hamburg Messe und Congress. The Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) regulations often pose a major hurdle for newcomers. A special session on certification issues will give newcomers more insight in a bid to ease market entry. The International Maritime Organization aims to ensure fire protection on board and to certify the lowest possible flammability materials for ship interiors.

Exhibitors at Marine Interiors Expo

The upcoming trade fair will also showcase the full range of products for cruise ship interiors - from lighting installations to panels and doors to custom-built coffee tables. Exhibitors at this year's event include W. Hartmann in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, which specializes in panel construction for use at sea. The U.S. fabric and upholstery producer Richloom Contract and the Italian furniture manufacturer Moroso Spa will present their latest designs. Seatrade Europe, the cruise industry's congress, will be held parallel to the Marine Interiors Expo,
