Digital Internorga sends signal to industry

The IDX_FS should send a long-awaited signal to the industry during the crisis, said Claudia Johannsen, Business Unit Director, Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH, adding: "IDX_FS Expo provides ultimate insights into forward-looking concepts, solutions and products and helps restaurateurs and hoteliers make strategic decisions to remain able to act in future. This is more important now more than ever." Events on the first day (March 15) start with the International Foodservice Forum featuring industry experts. Visitors can learn more about developments in the foodservice and hospitality sector in various discussion rounds on virtual live stages.

Visitors can also look forward to the presentation of the German Gastro-Start-up Award and the INTERNORGA Future Award for companies that think in a future-orientated way and operate sustainably. Exhibitors from the out-of-home market will present their new products and innovations in 2D and 3D showrooms and will advise visitors personally in live chats. Other digital offers include a video podcast with Westermeyer and an interview with the popular chef Tim Maelzer. Those seeking contact to industry experts and like-minded people can go to the Café Future, which is set to become the hotspot of networking. Internorga has teamed up with the Institute of Culinary Art and event management company IDX Events to hold this year’s IDX_FS instead of the normal trade fair in the exhibition halls.
