IDX_FS will allow national and International stakeholders in the out-of-home market to present their latests products and to stay in contact with the industry. The coronavirus pandemic and the latest lockdown has heightened tension in the hospitality and events industry recently. The cancelled physical trade fair Internorga 2021 marks the start of the new International Digital Food Services Expo (IDX_FS) powered by Internorga and will get underway from March 15 to 17, 2021. The online show will provide a virtual meeting place for stakeholders in the food, catering and hotel industries. Organisers are also planning opportunities for networking and discovering new trends and solutions. Internorga has teamed up with the Institute of Culinary Art and the event company IDX Events to stage the digital expo.

The concept has already met with great approval, said Johannsen. Companies such as MKN, Franke, Rational and Lekkerland have already confirmed their participation. "It's an inviting platform for the entire industry to gain the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the new normal with confidence," said Michael Buck, Managing Partner of IDX Events. Internorga celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2021. Normally, the leading international trade fair for the hotel and catering industry is held annually in the Hamburg exhibition halls.
