The Cross Innovation Lab, a project by the Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft, fosters individual innovation needs at an early stage. The mix of expertise and creativity encourages participants to think and work in news ways. Together with Hamburg's creative industries, concepts and prototypes are developed, validated and tested until they are ready for market launch. Customers and other companies in the lab can also take part in the innovation procedure. A roadmap for the next steps shows how to secure corporate budgets and to acquire external partners and funding.
Applications are being accepted until the deadline of September 30, 2025 for the next Cross Innovation Lab in November 2025. The nine-day lab gives companies and public institutions an opportunity to develop innovative approaches for products, processes and services tailored to their needs and make their companies future-proof..

Successful collaborations in Hamburg
The KLIMAready project exemplifies a successful means of collaboration on innovative solutions. Seven industry clusters in Hamburg joined forces to work on climate protection issues. The duty-free retailer Gebr. Heinemann and the neighbouring Buderus and Dachser now hope to share electricity using a "cluster bridge" developed by KLIMAready. The Digital Hub Logistics & Commerce is another example of successful cooperation. This innovative space links up companies, investors, startups, research and education to drive innovation in logistics, trade and supply chains.
