Hamburg increases funding for independent music scene to EUR 990,000 per annum - deadline for applications on June 15
Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Music City Fund. A total of EUR 990,000 are available up from EUR 600,000. The goal is to boost cross-genre projects in Hamburg's independent music scene.

Jury chooses recipients of funds
The funds boost projects that enrich the wealth of music in Hamburg, forge new collaborations or that boost cultural participation. Ensembles, bands and musicians of all genres who wish to undertake rofessional projects and have not received institutional funding from the City of Hamburg are eligible to apply. Funds ofat least EUR 5,000 to a maximum of EUR 150,000 are available. A five-member jury will select the recipients and projects.
