The best applicants will pitch their projects to an award committee of industry experts. The five teams with the most convincing pitches will be admitted to the intense phase of the incubator from September to early December. Gamecity Hamburg will back the teams for another year and offer individual coaching by professional consultants and a PR agency specializing in indie games. Workshops and coaching sessions will held two days a week during the initial phase.
Games developers can apply now for the second "Games Lift" incubator. Applicants have until the deadline of July 26, 2021 to submit their applications online provided they are headquartered in Hamburg or the teams relocate to the Hanseatic city. Five teams will receive up to EUR 15,000 each to develop digital games with high market potential. The winners will also attend workshops and take part in a mentoring scheme with international games experts and have the use of co-working spaces. Five games projects obtained initial funding last year.
