Five game projects get Games Lift Incubator funding

11 December 2020
First batch ends new Gamecity Hamburg funding

Participants in Batch #1 of the Games Lift Incubator presented their projects Tuesday (December 8, 2020) including VR games to the public. The three-month programme by Gamecity Hamburg closed with a live stream broadcast from the Designxport in HafenCity. Founders and start-ups put their mentors' advice to full use and demonstrated the knowledge gained during the coaching sessions. The next application phase for the Games Lift Incubator is due to start in the second half of 2021.

EUR 15,000 in coaching and start-up funding

During their incubator stint, some developers go to great lengths and rename their project or hire additional staff, while others put aspects of their game concepts to the test and make any changes recommended by mentors to launch on the highly competitive games market. Five teams of game developers received EUR 15,000 each, co-working space, workshops, expert mentoring and coaching from September to December 2020 during the Games Lift Incubator organized by Gamecity Hamburg for the first time this year.
