The Polaris Convention features five themed worlds with e-sportsmen competing in the Cyberdome while everything revolves around gaming in the Sandbox. Fans of Asian pop culture can meet in Neo Taki or view artists' works in Valdhaym. A food mile will be available in the Munchi Market. Delegates can experience the Polaris Convention as a mobile game or on the Polaris app, which features an avatar, integrated sticker search, free game mechanics and friends list and was nominated for the German Computer Game Award 2023. Visitors can purchase a day ticket or a three-day ticket and parents can avail of the "Bring Your Kids" ticket. Discount codes from creators can cut admission by 10 per cent.
Around 200 exhibitors, 60 content creators and leading gaming companies including Nintendo, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Capcom, Astragon and Niantic are expected at the Polaris Convention in Hamburg Messe from October 13-15, 2023. The highlight is expected to be an attempt by Polaris and TikTok to gather the most video game cosplayers on Sunday backed by Hamburg Messe und Congress and the Super Crowd event agency. Fans of retro tech can visit the flea market while the exhibition "40 Years of Famicon - Origin of Passion and Legends" offers a journey down through history to one of the oldest game consoles. Gamecity Hamburg will be presenting five new games "Made in Hamburg". This flagship of the industry in Europe employs around 2,500 people in over 190 companies in Hamburg alone. Gamecity Hamburg offers SMEs and larger companies various support schemes. To mark its 20th anniversary this year, all kinds of analogous events and digital activities are being held as well as a review of the games industry's development in Hamburg.
