Commenting on the large-scale project, Constantin Zangemeister, Executive Managing Director for the EMEA Region, said: "The Olympus Campus is one of the largest and most modern office buildings in Hamburg. We have realized our vision of a future-orientated working environment with the new building. The fact that despite the pandemic it can now be occupied with only a very slight delay is testament to the great commitment of everyone involved." Olympus is now aiming for the ranks of the leading global medtech companies. The company spun off the cameras, audio recorders and binoculars product divisions as an independent firm in early 2021. Dr Peter Tschentscher, Mayor of Hamburg, congratulated the company, and noted: “Olympus is an innovative company in the healthcare industry, an important partner for research and development in Hamburg and an active member of the Life Science Nord cluster.
Olympus, the global medtech enterprise, moved into its new headquarters for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region and Olympus Deutschland GmbH in July after a five-year planning and construction phase. The state-of-the-art and office complex in Hammberbrook can accommodate 1,200 workspaces and is designed for activity-based working as well as flexible and hybrid collaboration. The new sustainably-built building is a clear commitment to Hamburg as a business location and a visible sign of Olympus’ sustainable growth in the EMEA region, a press release said Tuesday (August 3, 2021).

Focus on New Work
Special emphasis will be on flexible collaboration among employees. Olympus will rely increasingly on hybrid and mobile working models in future."Our new office environment not only encourages exchange and promotes creative, customer-orientated collaboration for those working on-site, but also with colleagues working from home or at other global locations,” said Zangemeister.
The Olympus Campus will also house the new Olympus Medical Training Center. Both employees and customers will be able to experience medical technology in a state-of-the-art medical training environment to ensure optimum patient care and safety. Additional training sites from the greater Hamburg area will also be centralized there in the medium term.
