Other stops on the tour include the Alte Elbe Brücke and the bascule bridge on the Lotsekai as well as the Schlossinsel with several shipyards dating back to 1899. TheJöhnk shipyard still repairs inland and coastal motor vessels and small container ships.

Hamburg Metropolitan Region develops network of routes on history of industrial era
Residents of Hamburg can now discover milestones of industrial history at 24 stops in Harburg. The Hamburg Metropolitan Region has developed a second heritage route with the Ministry of Economics and Innovation along the lines of those in Neumünster, Schwerin, Lauenburg, Geesthacht and Barmbek-Winterhude. The new route is in response to the "Days of Industrial Culture" which have been held in the metropolitan region since 2011. All of the routes illustrate the economic and cultural influence of regional industry.
