Passengers simply swipe the "Start journey" button to travel. The app then records any changes and at the end of the trip calculates the cheapest fare, which is billed the next day. The feature is available for the entire HVV network and extends to those parts of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region in Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony. The app covers all means of transport such as buses, suburban and subway trains, ferries, and regional trains.
HVV and Hochbahn develop intuitive ticket function
Commuters in Hamburg can now book tickets via the HVV Any app, which calculates all routes travelled on a given day at the cheapest fare, a press release said Tuesday (February 7, 2023) Developed by Hochbahn AG and HVV, the new app will be integrated into the HVV Switch mobility app after a test phase.
Using HVV Any
More convenience
The convenience of the simplified ticket function will be useful when the nationwide 49-euro public transport ticket is introduced, according to Hochbahn and HHV. Customer feedback will be gathered over the coming months and actual usage on public transport will be monitored. If the new function proves successful, HHV Any will be integrated into the HVV Switch mobility app.
