HEY/Hamburg Mobility Festival highlights future of transport

Event gets underway in Chamber of Commerce (June 22-23)

Registrations are now being accepted online for the HEY/Hamburg Mobility Festival underway at the Chamber of Commerce from June 22-23, 2023. The event is one of several being held under the auspices of Volker Wissing, Germany's Minister for Digital and Transport, to provide ideas, innovations and inspiration for transport and to bring decision-makers together.

Transport sector to meet at festival 

The festival gives representatives of the transport sector an opportunity to network and make new contacts. The agenda features several panel discussions and workshops for experts with emphasis on the latest products and mobility projects. Start-ups and scale-ups from all corners of the globe will present their innovations and business ideas in the "HEY Pioneer" section while delegates can try out light weight vehicles such as cargo bikes or e-scooters in the "HEY Micromobility" area.

Model mobility region

Transport in Hamburg takes to roads and rail as well as water and in the air making for a "Model Region for Mobility of the Future". Various mobility concepts e.g,. autonomous driving are being tested in the city and Hamburg is also gearing up to host the leading Global Public Transport Summit (UITP) in 2025 and 2027.
