Christine Beine, Managing Director of Hamburg Cruise Net e.V., stressed: "The association is offering its member companies an opportunity to present their own offers under the Hamburg umbrella brand at the world's largest cruise industry gathering and to make lots of new contacts." More than 10,000 visitors and over 600 exhibitors from 120 nations are expected at the fair., according to Hamburg Cruise Net. The aim is to pitch Hamburg as an attractive German city on the U.S. market and to over 80 leading cruise lines.
The international cruise sector is gearing up for this year’s Seatrade Global 2024 underway from April 8-11 in Miami. A delegation of eleven service providers including Hamburg Cruise Net e.V., Cruise Gate Hamburg GmbH and Cruise Gate Hamburg GmbH, operator of the Cruise Centres Altona, Steinwerder, Baakenhöft and HafenCity (from 2025) will represent and underline the importance of the Port of Hamburg there. This comes after a record 1 million cruise passengers arrived in Hamburg last year.

Apart from the main exhibitors, the H. C. Röver Maritime Agency, the Marine Training Center (MTC) Hamburg, and the port operating company, Sartori & Berger, will also be presenting their companies at the joint 46-square metre Hanseatic stand. This "should present our city in an inviting, communicative, sustainable and young way," according to Hamburg Cruise Net e. V.. The stand is part of the “German Pavilion”.
