"Innovations made in Hamburg - worth sharing with the world" is the motto of this year's Hamburg Innovation Summit. "The HHIS will focus on both sub-areas and the entire Regional Innovation Strategy (RIS) in future," said Daniela Wilken, Managing Director of Wilkenwerk. The innovation strategy was presented by the senate in 2021 to find innovative solutions for local and global challenges. Its three main principles, "Strong Commitment", "Think Innovation Big" and "Bold Innovation Culture", will be highlighted during the summit.
HHIS summit to launch in new venue and with different concept
The Hamburg Innovation Summit (HHIS), organised by the Wilkenwerk creative agency, gets underway on September 12, 2024 in the Oberhafen district focusing on all the latest technological, social and cultural trends in key industries. Talented young professionals and budding entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to network with people in the political, commercial and scientific spheres during various talks, masterclasses and exhibitions.

Under the new concept "Connect. Collaborate. Create", a series of social innovations, start-up issues and political impulses will be presented on three stages. Startup City Hamburg will also be presented at the Summit. Highlights include the opening discussion on "Business x Science" with Melanie Leonhard, Senator for Economics and Innovation, and Katharina Fegebank, Deputy Mayor of Hamburg and Senator for Science, Research and Equality, and the presentation of the Hamburg Innovation Awards.
