Hamburg to host North German Science Award 2022

Focus on engineering - prize awarded jointly by north German states

Hamburg is gearing up to host the North German Science Prize worth EUR 250,000 this year with emphasis on engineering. Applications can be submitted until the deadline of June 30, 2022 on www.norddeutscher-wissenschaftspreis.de. The awarded has been presented annually since 2012 to raise the transparency of scientific networks beyond north Germany.

Focus on engineering 

Submissions are invited from the fields of production engineering, mechanics, process or materials engineering, materials science, computer science, civil engineering or architecture. The entries submitted should be marked by scientific excellence and help strengthen north Germany’s scientific networks. The prize will be presented jointly by the states of Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Bremen. The first-prize winner receives at least EUR 125,000 in prize money and up to three entries will be awarded prizes.
