The highlights are likely to include the presentation of the German government's latest National Cycling Plan (NVRP) 3.0 to promote cycling nationwide. The NRVP contains mission statements and outlines the priorities and goals of the German government as well as those of the states and local governments and other players in the sector. The present NRVP is effective until late 2020 and the drafting of next cycling plan is underway.
Hamburg is gearing up to host the 2021 National Cycling Congress next April with the German Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. International experts specializing in planning, representatives of science, business, politics, clubs and associations are expected at the congress to discuss challenges and opportunities and the design of cycle traffic.

Delegates at the congress can expect an extensive programme of events including keynotes, exhibitions, excursions and numerous side-events. Special emphasis will be on interactive methods and digital offers.
