Gen-Z start-up weekend to focus on youths' ideas for future

19 October 2021
Apply now for start-up weekend from November 5-7, 2021

Young people aged between 15 and 21 years can register now for the Gen-Z Start-up Weekend from November 5-7, 2021 in Hamburg to develop their own business ideas. Held under the motto of “Sustainable design - your future!", the event is being organized by Hamburg Invest’s Startup Unit and the Young Hamburg Talents Club. Emphasis will be on skills young people need to prepare for the future. This comes amid the ever-growing impact of digitalisation on job profiles. An estimated two-thirds of forward-looking jobs do not yet exist.

Turning ideas into business models

A total of 25 spaces are available for the workshop managed by Neo Academy. Young people will be given an opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of start-ups and get to know mentors in business and culture who will help them turn their ideas into business models i.e., real products or services that can be offered on the market. Those interested can take part digitally in the presentation (pitch) of business ideas on November 7, 2021. A jury will discuss the business ideas and select the winners.
