Giving Hamburg Metropolitan Region cutting edge in renewable energy and green hydrogen

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) awarded the Hamburg Metropolitan Region the status of a certified global leader of renewable energy in 2019. and recommended stronger cross-border collaboration. This is the vein in which the “Innovation and Science Parks for Renewable Energies and Green Hydrogen” (IWP) was launched recently. The network consists of five hotspots for renewable energy and green hydrogen in Heide and Geesthacht, Schleswig-Holstein, Wismar, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Stade, Lower Saxony and Hamburg-Bergedorf. In our latest Future Hamburg Talk, Jenne Wendt, Project Manager Business Location Development in Stade, outlines the plans. Insight is also given into Stade’s forte as a business centre.
