New Work SE and Leipzig Graduate School of Management develop employer seal

New Work SE (formerly Xing SE) has launched a so-called "New Work Employer Seall" developed with the Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL) to measure New Work in scientific terms, a press release said Wednesday (May 13, 2020). Emphasis is on criteria such as development opportunities, transparency and appreciation as well as management behaviour and organisation. HHL has developed the scientific methodology the seal, which builds on a company's self-assessment and on data contained in the Kununu employer rating platform. The latter is a branch of New Work SE with headquarters in Hamburg.

Opportunities of the new working world

"During the corona crisis, we are seeing clearly how important it is for companies to create the organizational, technical and above all cultural conditions for a trustworthy and transparent working environment," said Kristina von Domarus, Director of Partnerships at New Work SE, who is responsible for the new seal. The present upheaval is driven by advancing digitalization, demographic change and changing values in the world of work.

Xing's subsidiary to set standard for New Work

The qualifying process is open to companies of all sizes in the German-speaking region. The prerequisite for the rating is a critical mass of employee evaluations on Kununu. The seal is awarded after a qualifying process developed by the Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL) . The aim is to set a "standard for implementing New Work", said Tobias Dauth, Professor of International Management at Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL).
