XCharge Europe sets up testing facility in Hamburg

Provider of electric vehicle chargers seeks closer customer proximity

XCharge Europe GmbH, a provider of high-power and battery-integrated charging solutions for electric vehicles, is opening a new test facility at its headquarters in Hamburg, a press release said Wednesday (October 16, 2024). The expansion is part of its efforts to advance e-mobility in Germany and to forge closer links with European customers and partners.

Facility promotes demand-led charging solutions

"We are keeping our promise to bring more value creation to Europe by opening our test facility in Hamburg,," said Albina Iljasov, Head of Europe at XCharge Europe. "It is particularly important to us to better understand our European customers and to be able to respond to their needs. This measure will allow us to work even more closely with them and develop tailor-made solutions for the European market." The test lab will ensure compatibility with the latest electric vehicles including e-trucks, e-buses and cars. Customers will be able to experience the charging stations live on site and test them with XCharge Europe. 

Hamburg pioneering e-mobility

Customers can also learn about software customisation and installation in various back-end systems. XCharge Europe is bringing a key part of its development even closer to the European market, giving it even more innovative power and strengthening Hamburg as a centre of e-mobility. XCharge also plans to gradually expand its R&D activities in Hamburg
