What drives German managers?
Innovation, employee satisfaction and crisis management
"Everyone is aware of the importance of innovation, but it is rarely prioritised in day-to-day business," said Marco Neumueller, a representative of Odgers Berndtson. Respondents cited challenges such as rigid corporate structures and limited budgets as factors that hamper innovation. New and improved products are the most important focus of innovation, followed by optimized procedures and sustainability. Crises present even more challenges. Many managers stressed the importance of the modern "Performance Leadership Model" for analysing future scenarios. This approach aims to create a motivating culture that goes beyond simply meeting targets and improves both employee performance and well-being.
