"We chose the building in Koreastrasse because it offers modern offices in a central part of HafenCity," said Ingrid Heisserer, Chief Financial & Chief Human Resources Officer RTL Germany. The company had sought a suitable, sustainable, multi-use building with good transport links, she said, adding: "We are clearly committed to Hamburg as a media centre and are pleased to offer our employees a new home in a shared location where they feel comfortable."
RTL Deutschland has signed a ten-year lease for a building in HafenCity's Koreastrasse, media reports said Monday (May 22, 2023). Around 1,500 employees including those in its subsidiaries Gruner + Jahr, RTL News, Deutscher Pressevertrieb and Ad Alliance will work there in future. RTL plans to move into the building in two stages by early 2025.

RTL Deutschland main tenant in HafenCity
RTL Deutschland is renting around 17,200 square metres of the eight-storey building in HafenCity making it the main tenant. Four retailers rent the ground floor. Designed by Gewers Pudewill architects in Berlin, the building has already won several accolades including the "HafenCity Ecolabel" thanks to the verdant inner courtyard and cutting-edge workspaces. The building was previously managed by the holding company Marquard and Bahlis.
