"Most passengers took less than 15 minutes to go through security while our technical services such as Slot & Fly and the baggage machines were also very popular. On peak days, passengers checked in every third suitcase themselves. Simple, new hand scanners made this faster and more convenient," said Katja Bromm, Head of Communications at Hamburg Airport. Business is not expected to become quieter at the end of the holidays. "September and October have become strong travel months at Hamburg Airport with consistently high capacity utilisation. Business travel also picks up again after the holidays."
