New travel regulations to risk areas in effect at Hamburg Airport

Reason for travelling to the risk area is decisive:

1. Holiday (tourist reason for travel)
   Passengers can have a test done five days after entry and if the result is negative, the quarantine can be ended prematurely.
2. Business travel/study/training (staying less than five days in the risk area. A test can be done up to 48 hours before entry or after entering the country. If the result is negative, quarantine can be ended prematurely on presentation of a certificate from an employer, client or educational institution confirming the urgency of the trip.
3. Family visit
   Anyone visiting a partner, parents, children, siblings, grandparents or grandchildren can have a test performed up to 48 hours before entry or thereafter. If the result is negative, quarantine can be ended prematurely. If parents/children or partners visit the risk area for less than 72 hours, quarantine is not required and without a test.

All passengers who travel to a non-risk country or area as classified by Germany's Robert Koch Institute (e.g. Canary Islands from November 2, 2020), can board the flight as normal and without compulsory quarantine. However, entry regulations for the respective country must be observed. Passengers are advised to remain up to date with the airline's latest regulations.

The Centogene test centre in Hamburg Airport's Terminal 1 offers payable express testing. The German Red Cross and the City of Hamburg corona test centre in the Tango Terminal will close on November 8, 2020 at the latest. Airlines at Hamburg Airport are operating flights to over 70 different destinations.
