"HVV Any“ intelligent ticket to launch in autumn

11 August 2022
New ticket to be included in HVV's Switch App

HVV is gearing up to launch its latest ticket, "HHV Any", as soon as the hugely popular EUR 9 expires in autumn. Then passsengers can avail of the new ticket in the HVV Switch App based on the motto "Travel first, then pay". The intelligent ticket works according to the check-in/be-out method. App user pay on completing all of their journeys for the day. "HVV Any" is designed to recognize the means of transport used and automatically calculates the cheapest fare. Passengers receive the bill the next day and no longer have to check fares and ticket types in advance.

"HVV Any" and ticketing in future

"Download, check in, start traveling. Customers can experience this ingenious idea and become part of the ticketing solution of tomorrow," said Henrik Falk, CEO of Hochbahn. During the run-up to its official launch, around 1,000 users had tested the function free of charge in the beta version. And the demand for tests was high. Genuine feedback is worth its weight in gold and determines the acceptance of "HVV Any", Falk remarked. This latest ticketing system was originally due to launch in spring 2022, but was postponed following the introduction of the EUR 9 ticket in June. "HVV Any" will be valid on the entire HVV network and on trains run by other regional transport operators in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region and on ferries in the city.
