Hamburg YOTA aims to interest young people in mobility issues

Mobility of the future: Hamburg Young Talent Clubs organize spring camp for young people from the age of 14. Registration now open

Driverless cars, electric vehicles and the use of drones – these three themes lie at the centre of the Mobility spring camp that Hamburg Young Talent Clubs (YOTA Hamburg) is using to interest young people in the diverse mobility sector. The workshop is being held online between 7 and 9 March and is aimed at participants from the age of 14. The Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW) and a number of companies active in the mobility sector are participating in the event. Registration for this three-day event is now open.

YOTA workshop to highlight the future of mobility

The companies Beagle Systems and Clean Logistics SE will be presenting their ideas and exhibits during the course of the spring camp. Professors and students at the HAW, as well as representatives of the Tabula-Log and Medifly mobility projects will join the workshop. The focus of the camp will be on the future of mobility. The workshop themes take in drone transport for medical purposes, inspections of power lines and pipelines using drones, the use of remote-controlled cars to take on development tasks, how electric motors work, converting vehicles to electric or fuel cell power and integrating goods transport into existing bus services. The workshop will be held online every day during the hours 10:00 am to 2 pm from 7 to 9 March. Participation costs 25 euros. Registration will be open up to 28 February via the Hamburg YOTA website.

YOTA Young Talents Hamburg

At the Young Talents Club of Hamburg Invest, children and young people gain insight into technical careers in particular and are supervised through a range of events during their traineeship or studies in the Hamburg metropolitan region – from the age of eight to the end of their school years. Companies, associations and universities open their doors to reveal to children and youths how exciting technology is. Trainees are provided with guidance or can try their own hand in the apprentice workshop.
