The H2 Expo & Conference on the production, distribution and use of hydrogen is to go ahead earlier this year and will get underway from June 28-29, 2023 in Hamburg's Exhibition Centre, according to a press release issued in December 2022. After a successful kick-off event last September, this innovative industry event will be held biannually in even years parallel to WindEnergy Hamburg. Andreas Arnheim, Project Manager of WindEnergy Hamburg in renewable energies, will also be at the helm of the H2 Expo & Conference with immediate effect.

Ideal new date and new experienced manager

Commenting on the new date, Bernd Aufderheide, CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress (HMC), said: "Following the successful premiere, we made some additional adjustments, and adapted to the current market situation." The new date of the H2 Expo & Conference will precede the summer holidays and is "ideal for the exhibiting companies, our partners, and for decision-makers from industry and business. "In addition, Andreas Arnheim, as an experienced colleague, is taking over its management. He is well connected in the field of renewable energies and will work with our partners to drive further conceptual development in the future," Aufderheide added.

Agenda including talks, meetings and networking

Around 88 per cent of delegates were enthusiastic about the last H2 Expo & Conference. This year's topics will range from regulatory issues to technologies and the future of hydrogen. Representatives of the political sphere, science and industry are expected. Key players and hidden champions of the hydrogen industry will present their innovations and latest projects. The H2 Expo & Conference will be held parallel to Wind Energy in September 2024.
