Future Hamburg Talks meets Ulf Hahn, Member of the Board of HanseBelt
The immersed Fehmarnbelt Belt Tunnel, the largest infrastructure project in northern Europe, will link up the Danish island of Lolland with the German island of Fehrmarn and cross the 18-kilometre-wide Fehrmarn Belt in the Baltic Sea. The tunnel, which is due for completion in 2029, will bring the regions even closer together. In our latest Future Hamburg Talk, Ulf Hahn, Managing Director of the Stormarn Economic Development Agency, and Managing Director of the HanseBelt Association and spokesperson for the Economic Development Council in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, explains how the Hanseatic city can become the "southernmost metropolis in Scandinavia", what economic opportunities are opening up and how sustainable logistics can be promoted.
