Hamburg is one of the world’s three largest aviation centres. Airbus and its partners are now planning to convert commercial aircraft to climate-friendly hydrogen fuel by 2035. The change of energy goes hand in hand with systematic technical changes throughout the aircraft.

In this talk André Walter, Head of Plant and Industrial Site Hamburg Airbus Operations GmbH and Nicole Dreyer-Langlet, Vice President Research & Technology of Airbus Operations GmbH, discuss the technical options and framework conditions for using hydrogen in aviation.
